Saturday April 19 Open to public, 10:00 am, to 5:00 pomp.

Sunday April 20 Open to public, Tea 1 :00 to 4:00 pm

High School Awards 3:00 pm

Awards presentation 4:00 pm

CATAGORIES:

OILS/ACRYLICS

WATERCOLORS - Water soluble under glass or plastic

PASTELS - Pastel and colored pencil work

MINIATURES - Length plus width must not exceed 18 inches, (Example: 8x10, 6x12, etc.)

EXCLUDING Frame and Mat.

GRAPHICS - Pen and ink, pencil work, conte, charcoal, mixed media

PHOTOGRAPHY

SCULPTURE/POTTERY -If unusual displaying required, notify chairman

STAINED GLASS

NOVICE - Copy and classroom work, Ribbons only,

SALES ONLY DIVISION - Will not be judged. This category is for work previously entered

in our show, c1asswork, anything over two years old or any work you want to sell but not be judged. This can include Giclee prints. One framed print must be displayed and all unframed prints must be sold through the AAG. These works are eligible for Art Patron Awards.

All artwork can be marked for sale and will be judged (with exception of Sales Only Division).

MIDDLE SCHOOL ART EXHIBIT - Gayla Roberson, instructor

Elementary Art Exhibits - Eleanor Leeper - Devonian; Debra Thompkins - SanAndres; Tina Hardeson - Underwood; Patty Redwine - Clearfork

JUDGE: Susan Mansell of Balinger, TX. Ms. Mansell studied art at Southwest Texas and Angelo State Universities. She is an award winning watercolorist and an associate member of the American Watercolor Society and the National Watercolor Society

KEYHOLE EXHIBIT: Marvin and Jane Stevenson - The Stevenson’s reside in Odessa Tx. They are members of the Andrews Art Guild and have supported the Guild for many years. Marvin paints in watercolor and oil. His paintings are known for their rural nostalgic scenes. Jane is an award winning photographer whose photographs always seem to capture the heart of her subjects.

AWARDS:

ART PATRONS - More than $4,000 has been awarded each year for ten years,

Cash awards will be given in eligible categories. For any category with less than 15 entries, the prize money will be based on the number of participants in that category.

*BEST IN SHOW AWARD 125.00

*FIRST PLACE 50.00

*SECOND PLACE 30.00

*THIRD PLACE 25.00

*HONORABLE MENTIONS - Will be at the discretion of the judges

*SCHOLARSHIP AWARD - To Andrews High School Senior

A fee of 20% will be charged on all sales including Patron Purchase Awards from the exhibit. Sales will be handled through the Andrews Art Guild, Inc.

AAG Paid-up members $6.00 per entry, non-members $8.00 per entry. Sales only division $5.00 per entry,

No limit. No entry fee refunded, You may join the AAG at this time.

All paintings and photos must be wired for hanging, no wet paint. Glass or plastic required on watercolors and graphics. Must be original work not previously exhibited in Andrews and done within the last 2 years, AAG has the right to screen entries. No nudes, please.

All entries must be hand delivered to the James Roberts Center, Big Spring Hwy, Andrews, Texas on April 17th. 2:30pm to 6:30 PM. All entries 'will be handled and displayed at artist’s risk. AAG and the James Roberts Center cannot be held liable for loss or damage to entries while in their possession.

Artwork remains on display until the close of the awards presentation on Sunday April 20th. Artwork must be picked up and identified by artist’s receipt. Artwork not claimed following the show will be stored at the artist’s expense. Participation indicates the entrant understands the clauses and conditions as stated.
